WAS planning on moving to Charleston... For many, many years I have planned on moving to Charleston. I received a job offer last year, and did some serious planning to make it a reality. I ended up passing on the job, planning to move this summer. HOWEVER, I keep seeing all these internet posts about people moving …I keep hearing people mention that Hall family that owns Hall's Chophouse, SNOP, High Cotton, etc., are pretty terrible people. They've been in the news lately due to a wage skimming scandal with their employees. They settled that suit recently.At its absolute best Summerville is a cute 2 block downtown area with a neat flower festival once a year. In every other aspect it’s a suburb community off the side of an interstate for young families and old people that want to have their own space but still need to commute to Charleston.
